What communities are part of our market area?
The primary communities within our market area are Havelock, New Bern, Morehead City, Beaufort, Emerald Isle, Cedar Point, Swansboro, and Jacksonville. Our market area includes Carteret, Craven, and parts of Onslow, Pamlico, and Jones Counties.
Which communities offer waterfront living?
Because our area is rich with rivers and bayous, there are many opportunities for living and playing on the water (in addition to the obvious locations on the Atlantic Ocean and Intracoastal Waterway).
Which communities have active historic neighborhoods?
The cities of Beaufort, New Bern and Swansboro are known for their quaint historic areas. Many festivals and arts activities center around these unique neighborhoods.
Which military installations are part of our marketplace?
MCAS Cherry Point (Havelock) and Camp LeJeune and MCAS New River (Jacksonville) are both part of our market area. It takes about an hour to drive from Cherry Point to LeJeune.
What rental opportunities are available in this area?
In addition to a selection of apartments for rent, there is, of course, base housing for military personnel and an assortment of single family homes offered for rent through private owners and property management firms. (REMI is one such firm, located in Havelock, N.C.).
What are the major tourist attractions in the area?
This area is rich in tourist attractions to appeal to all types of visitors. Examples would be Ft. Macon, the Maritime Museum, the NC Aqarium, and Tryon Palace, in addition to all of the aquatic activities related to our fabulous beaches. Many of our communities host seasonal and annual festivals such as the Big Rock Marlin Tournament, Mumfest, the Havelock Chili Festival, the N.C. Seafood Festival, Cape Lookout, the Newport Pig Pickin’, the Beaufort Historic Homes Tour, the Mullet Festival, or the MCAS Cherry Point Air Show. Many tourists utilize the extensive N.C. Ferry System to travel to other parts of the Outer Banks.
Are there communities of new homes in the area?
Yes! Our Coldwell Banker First sales associates can introduce you to all of the new home communities in the marketplace.
Does our area have a port city?
Yes! Morehead City is a major North Carolina port.
What medical facilities exist in the area?
Both Carolina East Health and Carteret Health Care serve our area.
Are there opportunities for advanced learning in the area?
Yes! Craven Community College and Carteret Community College offer extensive courses for degree seeking students and for those who just wish to take advantage of the option to continue learning.
Is there a vibrant cultural presence in the area?
Yes! Our area is rich with artists, local musical groups, art festivals, and visiting musicians. The N.C. symphony performs regionally several times each year. Local taverns and coffee shops are alive with the sounds of musical talent and the waterfront parks frequently feature area musicians, as well.
